I just recently started at Adatis and thought I’d share a bit about myself. I’m currently on a placement year from the University of Exeter where I am studying Computer Science.
Adatis was recommended to me by a family member and after a bit of research it seemed like a brilliant place to apply. A great focus on tech, especially around data and the cloud was exactly what I was looking for. Reading through the Adatis values gave me great confidence that there is a comfortable work environment where the employees are looked after, encouraged to be curious and share information. I’m extremely happy to now be an Adati.
I’m a tech enthusiast which lead me towards studying Computer Science, and through experience from university and personal projects, I found a big interest in data and AI, especially using cloud platforms. I’d previously set up an IoT device to record temperature and humidity data, linked this to Azure and attempted to visualise the data; this gave me a lot of insight but also showed me I had a lot to learn. Hopefully I can spend my time here expanding my SQL skills, learning new tools like Databricks and understand the Azure framework. I think getting real industry insight using data and setting up Azure Solutions will be helpful to more fully understand what I am learning at University.
Facts about me
I’m a big fan of Jiu Jitsu, which I started a little over a year ago and really enjoy (although with Covid it’s been a struggle). I enjoy watching the F1 on the weekends and I occasionally go canoeing on the Thames, otherwise I’m probably playing computer games. I would love to go paragliding, it’s something on my bucket list, I think the experience would be amazing especially among the mountains.
I’d like to give a quick thanks to everyone I’ve met so far, you’re all so friendly and helpful and I look forward to meeting everyone else.
