Meet Jason Bonello! Jason has been with us for just over two years and works as a Senior Data Analytics Consultant. In this blog you’ll learn more about Jason’s role, what his favourite thing about Adatis is and also what he gets up to outside of work!
What is your role, and what does it involve?
My role as a Senior Data Analytics Consultant provides me with the opportunity to cover various responsibilities across different projects and engagements with clients and data partners in different industries. Given the different requirements and scope, the role allows me to wear different hats. It ranges from pure technical engineering on an end-to-end development of data solutions to requirements gathering and the need of applying project management practices either directly or indirectly.
What kind of person is going to be successful at Adatis?
I feel that there are two important elements – being an Adati (truly believe in and practice the company values basically) and the passion for data.
I feel Adatis offers opportunities in our role for self-development for someone who is a self-starter, eager to be challenged (both technically and from a delivery point-of-view), be comfortable to work with different data tech stacks across different projects, collaborate with the clients and who has a ‘can-do’ attitude.
We hope you’re enjoying getting to know Jason. We are currently hiring for Senior Data Consultants, to find out more about the job and apply today, check out the vacancy here.
What is your favourite thing about working at Adatis
One of the good factors is the knowledge sharing culture that exists which allows exposure to technologies that were used in different business contexts or show-casing the use of a latest technology feature that has been applied in an engagement.
I also have to mention the fact that we work with (or are exposed to) cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment – which makes the tech side of the role quite exciting.
What training have you received in your time at Adatis?
I think one of the best training programmes that anyone can get, is on-the-job training. And the project challenges that we have, normally live up to that, as they do keep everyone up to speed with the latest technologies and present the right challenges in that regard.
On top of that, Adatis does offer various internal training programmes and even encourages/ sponsors official certifications that align to the job – for example normally within a consultants’ role the Azure Data Engineer certification is highly advised, alongside others aligned to specific interests like Azure Data Analyst, Scientist or Architect.
What is your favourite way to spend the weekend?
My typical weekend for the last year mostly consisted of enjoying time with my family, binge-watching football and trying to be somehow creative in picking ‘new’ indoor hobbies. Looking forward for the latter to soon change or expand again to include outdoor!
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Probably seafood!
What is your dream holiday destination?
Destinations I must say ???? I do enjoy travelling and hence it’s hard to pick just one destination. But at some point, I would probably need to tick off Japan, New Zealand or a Safari Trip in Africa!
What is your favourite TV show/film?
Depends on the mood I guess – but the current top list for TV shows/series includes The Chase, Money Heist and documentaries (preferably true crime or sports).
